info about yours truly

so you are interested in my life?  my life consists of my 5 kids, the one on the way, my wife, myself and my external family.  four of the kids are from my wife's previous marriage but i treat them as my own and they treat me as their own.  currently, i am a stay at home dad and i would like to keep it that way.  when i worked for 6 years as a support tech for an isp that changed hands 2 times and eventually started slipping to the point of letting most of the employees go, i realized when i was at home all the time that i didnt want to go back to work in an office.  i want to stay at home and work from my home office so i can spend more time with my kids.  when in new mexico, we decided to home school the kids because the school system sucked.  now that we are in texas, i think we will send the older ones back to school.  so that is that in a nutshell.

my past

i started with computers at a young age.  if i need to be specific, i would say it was in middle school.  i was living with my grand parents at the time.  my grand pa had an old IBM with 512k ram and a 20MB hard drive.  it was an 8086 processor and ran DOS 1.  he used it for his work at an insurance company and i used it to play games on.  games can get boring so i took his manuals and started learning DOS and BASIC.  one day, walking home from school, this kid yelled to me.  from my experience, this usually meant trouble.  i ignored him and walked along as he was closing in and yelled again, "hey!  wait up!"  so i decided to stop and talk to him and found out he wasn't a bully.  we started hanging out and he introduced me to being friends with people as i moved around a lot prior to this school year and i taught him what i was learning about computers.  he liked taking electronics apart, as did i, but sometimes we would plug components into the wall to find out what would happen when you applied a power source to it (via a light switch).  disclaimer: kids don't try this at home.  we blew up a lot of resistors, capacitors, transistors and even fried whole circuit boards.  i guess you gotta start somewhere.  my tech support experience came pretty quick when i would get calls from him, "i typed 'del *.*' on my c: drive and now i cant reboot my computer."  you know, things like that.  of course, now he is, himself, an IT professional at a large oil company.  if his parents are reading this, they may realize what happened the night the lights went out in amarillo.  his website can be found here.

my future

in the future, i am a successful, self-made billionaire.  i owe part of my success on you, the faithful visitors to my site.  part of the money will come from some ideas i will apparently have about how to cure cancer.  since i have been supporting the cause for the cure of breast cancer by buying pink things all the time to support breasts (i am all about the boobies).  part of the money will come from various ventures and donations which will have been made to my paypal account.  i want to thank you all in advance for that.  money will not have changed me too much.  most of the money will go into separate accounts to send my children to school and some of the money will be for my wife and i, along with the younger kids at the time to travel around and get cultured on the world.  they will, of course, be home and world schooled.  the older kids will be in various colleges.

this site

this site will in no way, shape or form grant you a life.  nor, will it tell you how to get a life.  life is made from actions and inactions.  it is made from events and opportunities both taken and missed.  life is the period from conception to death.  the term "[you] have no life" is, in fact, a misstatement.  it is in itself meaningless excepting that you have ceased to be living.  in which case you are dead and not reading this.  life is not the religion you choose.  it is not the battles you fight or ignore.  it is, on an individual basis, the events that you do or don't.  the term life in a collective sense is all the events of several lives put together in a petri dish (earth, in our case) and is the sum of all parts.  in these times, i wonder how far people will go to fight about their view of life and how it should be.  i wonder if there will be a great war.  i wonder if brother will turn against brother and shed much blood over the belief that everyone should share one person or group or persons beliefs.  i wonder which belief will prevail.  i wonder if one day someone realizes that our (humankind) life is just dust in the wind.  man kind has not been on the planet for a very long time as compared to the age of the planet itself.  man kind will not be on the planet much longer as compared to the age of the planet.  we are all but a single blip in time.  after we are wiped from the earth, and apparently it will be fire this time, will any of our constructs remain for whatever life may spawn out of the aftermath?  life is here.  life is now.  live.

oh wait, this site is not about anything.  what am i saying?  this site is just something to take up space on the interwebs.  it is a collection of 0s and 1s organized in such a way that computers can make it visually appealing to the eye.  or visually repulsive.  however i choose to make it.  however you choose to perceive it.  this site is for entertainment purposes.  this site is for informational purposes.  this site is.

i also do weddings!

are you getting married?  ask about my wedding services.  i am currently ordained through the universal life church.  my beliefs are similar to christian beliefs but somewhat on a different level.  i also believe in a human's ability to have their own belief about how things started, where things are going and where you go when you die.  you do not have to be of the same belief.  i will chat with anyone who wishes to share their belief with me.
